Ms. Eaton's Phileonia Artonian: Mixed Media and Collage

Id have to say this is my most current and favoured medium, however I love to dabble in all mediums. I most like when I am in a class learning new techniques or given new challenges, but most of all I love creating commissioned art pieces. So if you are interested in my work please let me know. I don't get a lot of time to create on my own so I still consider myself to be a beginner to intermediate artist, so any chance I get to create a commissioned art work I get very excited. Below are a few collaged based pieces. I took some time away from creating and had a very hard time getting back into collage and mixed media. I found a book at chapters by an artist named REX RAY. If you don't know him I strongly suggest you check out his work. he is a phenomenal artist. I began by trying to replicate some of his work to get a hang of the style. Once I figured it out, I began to explore more in my own style. I would love to get back into created collages like this. It was so much fun and therapeutic. The materials I used were magazines and scrap booking paper, glued down with gel medium and a paint brush.
