Quilted Shoes
I can't remember now where I got this lesson from. I would say probably from the Incredible Art Department website. I was very pleased with the turn out. However my students didn't love the idea of drawing their shoes. It was a struggle to get them to take their shoes off and draw them. Even though I gave them plenty of warning to bring shoes from home. But overall it was a great avenue for them to begin working with patterns and designs. You'll notice at the bottom of the shoes you'll see dots. This is to represent the shadow of the shoes so that they look grounded rather than floating in space.
