My inspiration came from this blog: http://www.art-is-fun.com/watercolor-pencil-art-lesson. I was inspired by the elements of design and the use of masking fluid. I initially found this lesson on Pinterest. First I had students do a series of techniques. Then we looked at what makes a good composition using the elements and principals of design. They did a couple practice sketches and then began painting. Overall this was a very successful project.
